WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) joined Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo to discuss trade with China, as well as the ongoing immigration crisis at the Southern border. Senator Blackburn attended a meeting at the White House on Tuesday to discuss various ways to address border security. 

On Trade

“China has been stealing our intellectual property…. In Tennessee, we have so many individuals that intellectual property underpins what they do – whether it is entertainment, health care, financial services and, of course, auto manufacturing. They are resolute when they say these data transfer and intellectual property provisions are a part of the trade agreement, not an afterthought.” 

On Immigration

“Joe Biden and Barack Obama had their shot at fixing these issues…. I applaud the White House team. They’ve worked together in a very collaborative way…. They’re breaking this into workable components so that we can finally get something done.”
