WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Tom Carper’s (D-Del.) resolution to recognize the work of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) successfully passed the United States Senate.

“Since its creation in 1980, Jobs for America’s Graduates has served over 1.6 million young people and regularly helped more than 90 percent of their yearly participants graduate from high school,” said Senator Blackburn. “I am pleased to partner with Senator Carper to commend them for a job well done in equipping future generations, particularly underserved youth and those facing significant challenges, with the tools they need to be successful in academia, the workforce, and beyond.”

“JAG is a national leader in providing opportunities for our nation’s young people, and graduates of the program enter the real world with skills that will help them succeed,” said Senator Carper. “In fact, Delaware was the state where JAG first opened its doors – and throughout my time in public service, I have seen time and time again the difference that this program makes in the lives of young people across our state. I’m glad to see this bipartisan resolution pass the Senate to recognize the amazing work that JAG has done.”
