Blackburn’s Push To Subpoena Epstein Estate, FBI Records Gains Full Support Of Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans

January 10, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) announced she has the full support of Ranking Member Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans on her amendments to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s estate for unredacted flight logs, as well as to subpoena the FBI for all records pertaining to Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

With the full support of Judiciary Republicans, Senator Blackburn is continuing to urge Chairman Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) to hold a vote on these amendments.

“While redacted portions of Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs and Ghislaine Maxwell’s black book have been released in various lawsuits, we need the complete and unredacted versions from his estate and the FBI,” said Senator Blackburn. “Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans are unified: it’s time to uncover this information and break apart these illicit sex trafficking rings. I will be demanding a vote on these subpoenas whenever possible at Judiciary Committee meetings until the American people get the full truth and victims get the justice they deserve.”

“The American people deserve to know what happened regarding Jeffrey Epstein and prominent American business and political leaders,” said Ranking Member Graham.  “I fully support and very much appreciate Senator Blackburn’s longstanding efforts to bring transparency to the Epstein debacle. Senator Blackburn has been pushing the idea of subpoenaing the Epstein passenger travel logs as well as FBI records on Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.  In light of the recent revelations and court documents, I think this is more important than ever. I hope the Senate Judiciary Committee will act expeditiously, in a bipartisan manner, to issue these subpoenas in order to conduct oversight and investigate the allegations of rampant sex trafficking and abuse.”

SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE REPUBLICANS:

  • In addition to Ranking Member Graham, Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), John Kennedy (R-La.) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) joined Senator Blackburn on this effort.
