WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) released the following statement on the Democrat-led National Security Supplemental and a list of the amendments she introduced to strengthen our national security and secure our border.

“I fully support Israel’s fight against Hamas terrorists, Ukraine’s fight against Russia, and Taiwan’s fight for freedom against Communist China,” said Senator Blackburn. “However, before any additional funding is considered for Ukraine, we need a full accounting of what has been spent, along with a clear and winning strategy for the war. This deal would also provide funding to Gaza that would inevitably end up in the hands of Hamas terrorists. I have introduced numerous measures to improve the legislation drafted by Leader Chuck Schumer. Most importantly, we need real legislation to secure our border first – not an immigration bill pushed by Senate Democrats.” 

• Limiting the number of aliens who may be paroled into the U.S. each year.

• Prohibiting U.S. taxpayer dollars from going to Gaza until all hostages have been released.

• Accelerating deportations for illegal aliens who physically assault first responders.

• Prohibiting Biden from selling or removing the border wall.

• Implementing the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols.

• Empowering border states to place temporary barriers on federal land in order to protect their communities by including the CONTAINER Act.

• Curtailing child recycling via the End Child Trafficking Act to require a DNA test to determine the familial relationship between an alien and an accompanying minor.

• Combatting trafficking and child recycling by giving U.S. Customs and Border Patrol the authority to fingerprint non-citizens under the age of 14 by implementing the PRINTS Act.

• Requiring the Secretary of Health and Human Services to determine the number of unaccompanied minor children released from custody and whose current location is unknown.

• Ensuring unaccompanied children released into the U.S. are not being trafficked by providing services such as in-person home visits.

• Requiring any funding to the U.N. to be contingent on the organization placing Hamas, Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies and groups designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations on the United Nations Security Council Consolidated List.
